Industrial Automation Supply is an electrical controls and automation components distributor with a focus on serving the Original Equipment Manufacturers market in New England. What began in 1993 as a modest, three-person distributorship has grown into a 25-person business with a burgeoning Systems Group, dedicated inside stales staff, and a road-tested sales team. IAS was founded with an earnest desire to improve the three-way dance of the vendor-distributor-customer relationship. In the over 30 years since founding, IAS has created a foundation that allows us to build significant, long-lasting relationships with our customers - strengthened by our rock-solid partnerships with our vendors.

We are located in Portland, ME, but we have a dedicated sales staff covering all of New England—and our team of applications engineers are available as a resource, whether we travel to you, or you are coming to us for a consultation.

IAS prides itself on its technical know-how at the point of sale. Our product and customer application knowledge enables us to provide solutions for our customers that are unmatched in the industry. In 2017 we took another step, establishing our UL 508-certified Systems Group, pricing and constructing Control Panels for a wide variety of customers in a wide variety of industries. Our team can create one-off, boutique panels, or create dozens of identical units, to customer spec, every time.
